Head Node Configuration

The head node is the most important part of your cluster; it is responsible for network services, user accounts, storage services, and job scheduling. The head node can also serve as the local storage node to provide local disk space for your compute runs. Each head node features two Quad-Core Intel 'Nehalem' Xeon processors with integrated memory controller, Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading. Xserve ships with a built-in NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 graphics with 256MB of SDRAM and mini DisplayPort output.
